Humpback Whale watching is seasonal with migration. It can start as early as May as they head North and returning South with calves in later months to October. Local researchers tell us over 30,000 whales journey up the Coast each year.

Cruise the scenic Tweed River and inlets; bask in the tranquility of Majestic Wollumbin -Mount Warning. Admire the local bird and marine life, and be on the lookout for our local dolphins . Create a bespoke river adventure; or enjoy one of ours. Fancy an early morning, first-light adventure on the Tweed? Take our Kookaburra Coffee cruise and follow the river’s winding path. As you wake up with nature, you may enjoy the Kookaburra’s cackling call (Australian Tree Kingfisher) over coffee!
Cruise to Cook Island Aquatic Reserve – absorb the scenic beauty of this 80 hectare marine estate. This area is home to threatened species such as rock cod, grey nurse shark and giant Queensland groper. We keep lookout for Bottlenose dolphin, turtles perhaps even a flying fish or two. Our popular Cook Island adventures include: clipping up to one of the allocated buoy for a fun snorkel -or scuba dive in the reserve. Or perhaps you prefer a surfing adventure? We can anchor behind a suitable break near Fingal Heads; within view of the historic light house – while you ride the waves with the dolphins!
